Mango Lassi

Mango Lassi

Lassi is a popular thirst quencher especially during the humid summer months in India and Pakistan. Mango is a popular choice for a lassi drink. I usually make this recipe with the canned mango pulp imported from India and available at Indian spice stores. My reason for using this canned mango pulp is simple, as, when it comes to flavor there is no match for Indian and Pakistani mangoes-period.



Ingredients and Directions

• 1 6oz carton lemon yogurt

• 6 oz canned mango pulp* (* Available at Indian spice stores.) or

• 1 cup fresh mango

• 6 oz water or 6 oz milk

• 1 cup ice

• 2 tablespoons sugar

• 2 tablespoons lemon juice or

• 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks

Pour all ingredients in a blender and blend for a few seconds. Serve with additional ice or as is.
